Letter addressed to Sophia Woodbridge (Strong) Dwight (1793-1861), wife of Benjamin Woolsey Dwight (1780-5/18/1850). Benjamin was a Doctor in Catskill NY, having graduated from Yale (New Haven, Ct.) in 1799 and, later, a wholesaler and importer of hardware. He was Treasurer of Hamilton College from 1831 until his death in 1850.
