New York CDS to the right of the stamp is dated **R 30 (writing obscures the first two letters in the month).
The cover may have been sent to NY outside the mails, despite the ms notation “Paid to the Lines.” This is further suggested by the obliterating of the 10 cent rate and 4 ½ Canadian postage at the upper right.. (If this is correct, the cover should be listed as 3/30/50 from New York City.)
