Scott #1 1847 5c Franklin Stamp On Cover ~ Mobile, AL To Pensacola, Fl (282)
1847 5c red brown Franklin (Scott #1) single tied by red circular grid cancels on cover sent from Mobile, Alabama to Pensacola, Florida. Red October 22, Mobile circular date stamp cancel at bottom left. The stamp has tiny manuscript pen marks at top right, otherwise exhibiting nice color & ample margins to just in at bottom right corner. An excellent and scarce piece of 1847 Issue postal history.

This is the perfect item for the Alabama or Florida state postal history enthusiast, Mobile specialist, student of 1847 Issue cancels or collector of classic U.S. covers.
