Lot 238 10c Black (2). Full to large margins, on large oblong piece with fancy blue Negative "10" in circle of stars, matching "Huntsville AI. Feb. 21" cds, stamp cancelled by grid and tied by tiny partial strike of "PAID" with second full strike at right, Fine. Two full covers with the 10c are known with this fancy rate marking. One is known with this marking tying the stamp, dated Jan. 8, 1848. Another, to Mobile, with a Feb. 19 cds, has the markings and stamp almost identically placed; this piece is probably from the same correspondence, very rare
