Lot 125 5c Red Brown (1), ample to large margins, tied by blue ˜5' in oval on Feb 8, 1849 folded cover from Norfolk Va. to Baltimore with blue STEAM straightline, stamp with tiny speck from writer's pen at bottom, Fine and very scarce usage. 1996 PF Certificate. ex. Gibson
This cover may well represent a unique route agent use on the Norfolk to Baltimore route. Three of five agents on this route were supplied with 1847 adhesives.
