Used Envelope with #1 Franklin, Imperf Stamp The Folded Paper Envelope, with a letter enclosed is in nice condition and is Dated 1848. The stamp appears to be in fairly good condition. One corner of the stamp is folded.

Nathan Carruth (December 25, 1808 “ May 19, 1881) was an American railroad pioneer. Besides being the first president and general manager of the Old Colony Railroad Corporation, he was for a number of years Director and Treasurer of the Northern Railroad of New Hampshire, and Director of the Dorchester and Milton Branch Railroad.
