Another is the face of a cover cancelled Philadelphia Pa Jan 4 and sent to New York City/ This cover bears a 5 cents 1847 between a 1 cent 1857 Type II (20) and a 3 cents 1857 Type II (25A), thus making up the triple -9c- rate. This must have been used at least as late at 1858, as the perforated stamps did not appear until February 1857. This combination also seemingly paid the postage without question.
