My Philatelic Interests

Let me introduce myself. My name is Dr. Charles J. DiComo and I have been collecting stamps and postal history for over 25 years. I am a member of numerous Societies and Organizations, including: the American Philatelic Society (APS), the British North American Philatelic Society (BNAPS), the Carriers & Locals Society (C&LS), the Collectors Club of NY (CCNY), the Empire State Postal Histroy Society (ESPHS), and the U.S. Stamp Society (USSS). Additionally, I am the Secretary, Webmaster, and on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Philatelic Classics Society, Inc. Finally, I am a member of the Council of Philatelists of the Smithsonian Institute's National Postal Museum.

I specialize in the United States Three Cent Stamp of 1851-61, with interests in plating, color, cancellations, plate varieties and postal history. Additionally, I am currently plating the United States One Cent Stamp of 1851-61, the United States Fifty Cent Conveyance Revenue Stamp R54, and the Canadian Five Cent Beaver Stamp of 1859-64. Finally, I maintain extensive U.S. and Britsh North America collections, with ancillary interests in the Cape of Good Hope, Hawaii, Number 1's of the World, and anything to do with Pawling, NY.

This web site will deal predominantly with the U.S. Three Cent Issue of 1851-61, Please click at the links to the left for a tour. They are self-explanatory, with the Essential References and Links updated often. ENJOY!

I hope this brief summary gives other collectors out there a peak into my areas of philatelic interest. It is my hope that others whom share my interests will contact me to share their stories and collecting venues.

I am always looking for new material to purchase or trade, and have been consolidating my U.S. and BNA collections, so contact me at: charlesdicomo@optonline.net
